When we hear the word “holy,” we might think of perfection, reverence, or purity. But understanding God’s holiness goes far beyond these ideas.
God’s holiness is one of the most powerful, awe-inspiring truths of the Bible. It describes God’s nature—His absolute purity, righteousness, and goodness.
But why does that matter for our daily lives? God’s holiness doesn’t just reveal who He is; it also reveals how we should respond to Him.
I remember the first time I was really convicted about God’s holiness. I was reading Isaiah 6, where Isaiah sees God high and lifted up, with angels declaring, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty.” Isaiah’s reaction wasn’t just awe and reverence—his response was that he fell down and cried out, “Woe is me! For I am lost; a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts!”
That scene reminded me of the correct response to God’s holiness.
In this week’s podcast and YouTube episode, I go deeper into why God’s holiness is so crucial and how it changes our perspective on both life and faith.

Most days of the week, you’ll find me homeschooling my boys around our dinner table (or planning curriculum around my coffee table) with some sort of candles or essential oils going in the background.
